Insomniac Games has not committed to a specific release date for Marvel’s Wolverine on PS5. In a recent interview with Variety, Chad Dezern, one of Insomniac’s new co-heads, declined to confirm or deny a 2025 release, stating, “We have to be like Logan today, and remain very stoic until it’s time to pop the claws down the road.”
This cautious approach follows earlier statements from May 2024, where Insomniac addressed fan inquiries by saying, “We’ll share news when the time is right, and the right time isn’t now.”
The development of Marvel’s Wolverine has faced challenges, including a significant setback in November 2024 when the game’s creative director, Brian Horton, departed to join The Initiative, the studio behind Xbox’s Perfect Dark. This move came after earlier disruptions such as data leaks and the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Despite these hurdles, Insomniac remains committed to delivering a high-quality experience. While fans eagerly await more information, the studio emphasizes patience, indicating that updates will be shared when they are ready.
