Huawei Approaches Apple Smartphones Sold and Huawei is making steady progress in the global smartphone market. The company has managed to meet the market demand both in the high and medium range thanks to the versatility of its main catalog and its second brand, Honor.
Huawei’s growth has led the Chinese company to take third place in the world’s mobile resellers, leaping to second place in the list, Apple, according to the latest report by Counter Point Research.
Apple Managed To Ship 41 Million Smartphone
The firm explains that in the second quarter of the year Apple managed to ship 41 million smartphones (800,000 more than in the same period last year), while Huawei has sent 38.5 million smartphones (6.5 million more than in 2016 in the same period).
The Chinese company is one of the companies that has increased the shipment of smartphones in this period. With a 20% growth in the terminal office, it surpasses Samsung or Apple, although it remains below Oppo, Vivo and Xiaomi with a 33%, 45% and 60% increase in shipments, respectively.
Samsung Hold Top Position
Despite the growth in shipments from other companies, Samsung continues to hold the top position in the phone office to retailers around the world, far above Apple. The South Korean company reached 80.4 million smartphones in the second quarter of the year, 4% more than the 77.1 million it sent in the same period of 2016.
