Epic Games has expanded its mobile platform to include free game offerings on both Android and iOS devices. This initiative began on January, 2025, with the introduction of third-party games to the Epic Games Store mobile app. The first free game available is “Dungeon of the Endless: Apogee,” which can be claimed until February, 2025. Following this, “Bloons TD 6” will be the next free title. Initially, Epic plans to offer free games monthly, with intentions to transition to a weekly schedule later in the year.
To access these free games, users need to install the Epic Games Store mobile app. On Android devices, the app is available globally, while on iOS, it is currently accessible only to users in the European Union, due to regulatory constraints. Epic is actively working to expand availability to other regions in the future.
This move is part of Epic’s broader strategy to challenge the dominance of existing app stores by offering an alternative platform for mobile gaming. By providing free games and supporting third-party developers, Epic aims to attract a larger user base and foster a more competitive mobile gaming environment.
