Xiaomi has introduced a vibrant red colorway for its Xiaomi 15 smartphone to celebrate the upcoming Chinese New Year on January 29. This new hue adds to the existing palette of black, white, silver, green, and lilac. The red model features a sleek black frame, complementing the black accents on its rectangular camera module, creating a visually striking contrast.
In terms of specifications, the Xiaomi 15 boasts a 6.36-inch LTPO OLED display with a resolution of 1200×2670 pixels, a 120 Hz refresh rate, and an impressive peak brightness of 3,200 nits. It’s powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, paired with 12GB or 16GB of RAM and storage options ranging from 256GB to 1TB. The device features a triple rear camera setup, including a 50 MP main sensor with OIS, a 50 MP ultrawide lens, and a 50 MP telephoto lens offering 3x optical zoom. Additionally, there’s a 32 MP front-facing camera for high-quality selfies. The 5,400 mAh battery supports 90W wired and 50W wireless charging.
Currently, the Xiaomi 15 is only available in China. However, if past launches are any indication, a global rollout is likely to follow the debut of the Xiaomi 15 Ultra, expected to be announced in the coming weeks.
This bold red edition aligns with Xiaomi’s strategy to fuse technology and tradition, celebrating cultural milestones while offering premium devices. As global anticipation grows, fans outside of China eagerly await the opportunity to experience this festive edition firsthand.
