Ninja Gaiden 4 Announced, Coming to Game Pass on Day One

During the Xbox Developer Direct event on January 23, 2025, Team Ninja and PlatinumGames announced Ninja Gaiden 4, marking the series’ return after a 13-year hiatus. The game is slated for release in Fall 2025 on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC, and will be available on Xbox Game Pass from day one.

Set in a demon-infested Tokyo, Ninja Gaiden 4 introduces a new protagonist, Yakumo, a ninja from the Raven clan, on a mission to defeat the Dark Dragon and restore peace. The game retains the series’ signature dark atmosphere and intense action, featuring elements like blood and dismemberment.

In addition to the new installment, a remastered version of Ninja Gaiden II, titled Ninja Gaiden II Black, has been released immediately for Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC, and is available through Game Pass. This remaster offers enhanced visuals and includes characters such as Ryu Hayabusa, Ayane, Momiji, and Rachel.

The collaboration between Team Ninja and PlatinumGames aims to deliver a refined and satisfying gameplay experience, blending the best aspects of both studios’ action game expertise. Fans can look forward to more updates as the release date approaches.
